Having two decades of experience in photography and design, Marilyn Hue approaches videos as moving portraits. As a director, she encourages collaboration, values diversity of ideas, and fosters a culture of innovation. During her 7-year mentorship with Skrillex, she gained a unique perspective on how art and media connect people. This past year, Marilyn directed 15 visualizers for pop sensation Ava Max and TikTok phenomenon Bella Poarch’s trailer for her first streaming show ‘Bella Level’s Up’. Her non-traditional path, absent from film school, has pushed her to experiment deliberately. Marilyn’s greatest strength is understanding the nuances and crafting visual narratives that reflect her subject in an aesthetically beautiful way.
